Ciento is a personal finance assistant powered by AI. Think of it as a GPS for your money — you tell it where you want to go (goals, budgets), it alerts you to obstacles along the way (cashflow calendar, upcoming bills), and you can talk to it naturally through chat without ever handing over your banking credentials. It tracks your income, expenses, net worth, and financial goals, all in one place.
Where is Ciento available?
Ciento is currently available in Canada on iOS and Android. We are actively working on expanding to the rest of the world — stay tuned for announcements.
Do I need to connect my bank account?
No. Ciento is built on a strict Privacy First and Zero Bank Links philosophy — your banking credentials never leave your hands. All data is entered manually or through the AI chat, which makes logging a transaction as fast as sending a text message. Bank connections are on our roadmap, and when we ship them, privacy will still come first.
How do I get started?
Sign up with your email and password — no credit card required. Onboarding walks you through five quick steps: (1) read our Privacy-First policy, (2) choose your currency, (3) create your first wallet (checking, savings, credit card, or cash), (4) add your salary and spending categories, and (5) connect the AI assistant to Telegram, WhatsApp, or use the in-app chat. The whole setup takes about two minutes.
Is Ciento available on iOS and Android?
Yes. Ciento is a React Native app available on both iOS and Android. Your data syncs securely to the cloud via Supabase, so you can switch devices at any time and pick up exactly where you left off.
Can I use Ciento across multiple devices?
Yes. Because your data is stored in a secure cloud database, you can log in from any supported device and instantly access your up-to-date wallets, budgets, goals, and transaction history.
✨ Features
What can I track with Ciento?
Ciento lets you track income, expenses, and transfers across multiple wallets. Additional features include: recurring transactions (subscriptions, rent, salary), financial goals with visual progress bars, a cashflow calendar showing income and spending day by day, net worth calculated in real time from all your wallets, and budget limits per spending category with instant feedback on how close you are to your limit.
What are Wallets?
Wallets are the building blocks of Ciento. Each wallet represents a place where money lives or is owed — a chequing account, savings account, credit card, cash, or investment account. Ciento sums up all your wallets to calculate your real-time Net Worth automatically. You can have as many wallets as you need and assign each one a different currency.
What is the Cashflow Calendar?
The Cashflow Calendar shows your entire month at a glance, with green indicators on income days and red on expense days. Instead of scrolling through an endless transaction list, you can spot patterns visually — for example, noticing you consistently overspend on weekends — and anticipate tight days before they sneak up on you. It's one of Ciento's most distinctive features compared to traditional expense trackers.
What are Financial Goals?
Financial Goals let you save toward a specific target with a name (like "Japan Trip" or "Emergency Fund"), a target amount, and a deadline. Ciento shows a visual progress bar so you always know where you stand. The AI can also check your goal status and tell you if you are on track based on your current saving pace.
How do Recurring Transactions work?
Recurring transactions represent bills or income that repeat on a schedule — rent, Netflix, gym membership, salary. Ciento tracks upcoming recurring payments and shows you warnings like "In 2 days: F45" or "In 15 days: Rent", so you can anticipate your future cashflow and avoid being caught off guard.
What are Budgets?
Budgets let you set a spending limit per category (e.g. $500/month on Restaurants). Ciento tracks your actual spending against the limit in real time and the AI can proactively warn you when you are getting close to or exceeding a budget — turning your assistant from a passive log into an active financial coach.
Does Ciento support multiple currencies?
Yes. You can assign a different currency to each wallet, making Ciento ideal for anyone managing finances in more than one country or holding accounts in USD, CAD, EUR, and more.
Can I share a wallet with someone else?
Yes. You can invite family members, partners, or business associates to a shared wallet by email. Each person gets one of four roles — Owner, Admin, Member, or Viewer — so you control exactly who can add, edit, or only view transactions. Your other wallets stay completely private.
Does Ciento support Apple Wallet and Siri?
Yes. Ciento integrates with iOS App Intents, so you can build custom Shortcuts — for example, a prompt every time you open Apple Wallet — and log expenses hands-free with "Hey Siri, add expense". iPhone users can weave Ciento into their existing iOS habits without opening the app at all.
💳 Pricing
Is Ciento free?
Yes. Ciento has a free tier that includes core expense tracking, multiple wallets, budgets, goals, and limited AI assistant access. No credit card is required to sign up.
What does Premium include?
Premium (CAD $5.99/month) unlocks everything: unlimited categories and wallets, shared wallets with role-based access, full AI assistant access (text, voice, receipt scanning), and priority support. It is designed for people who want the complete Ciento experience.
Can I cancel my subscription at any time?
Yes. Subscriptions are managed through the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). Cancel any time from your device subscription settings and you keep Premium access until the end of your current billing period.
Is there a free trial for Premium?
Ciento offers a free tier with no credit card required, so you can explore the core features before deciding to upgrade. Check the app for any active trial promotions.
🔒 Privacy & Data
Does Ciento connect to my bank?
No — and that is intentional. We believe you should never have to give a third-party app your banking login. Ciento uses AI-assisted entry instead: describe a transaction in plain language and the AI logs it instantly. Bank connections are on the roadmap, and when we ship them, privacy will still be non-negotiable.
Where is my data stored?
Your data lives in a secure PostgreSQL database powered by Supabase, hosted on Microsoft Azure infrastructure. Row Level Security (RLS) policies are enforced at the database level, meaning only you can read or write your own wallets, transactions, budgets, and goals — even at the infrastructure layer.
How are my receipt photos and voice notes stored?
Receipt images and voice notes you send to the AI are stored in private cloud storage buckets. Access is controlled through secure, short-lived signed URLs — only your account can retrieve your files. No one else, including Ciento staff, has routine access to your media.
Does Ciento sell or share my data?
No. Your privacy is non-negotiable. We will never sell or share your financial information with third parties. See our Privacy Policy for the complete details.
How do I delete my account?
Contact us at product@cientolabs.com to request account deletion. Your data will be permanently removed from active servers within 30 days of your request.
🤖 AI
How does the AI assistant work?
The AI assistant is powered by Google Gemini and communicates with your Ciento data through a secure Model Context Protocol (MCP) server. It has controlled read/write access to your wallets, transactions, budgets, and goals — so it can both answer questions about your finances and take actions on your behalf, like adding a transaction or creating a new budget.
What can I ask the AI?
Almost anything about your finances. Examples: "How much did I spend on restaurants last month?", "Am I on track with my Japan Trip goal?", "Add a $6.50 coffee to my credit card", "What is my net cashflow this month?", "Warn me if I go over my grocery budget", "How does my emergency fund look?". The AI uses your real data to give personalized, accurate answers.
Can I add transactions by chatting?
Yes — this is one of Ciento's core features. Just send a message like "I bought coffee 6.50$" and the AI will extract the amount, automatically categorize it (e.g. Restaurants), assign it to your default wallet, and confirm the transaction. No menus, no tapping through screens.
Can I send voice notes or receipt photos to the AI?
Yes. The AI supports multimodal input. Record a voice note — "I spent 20 dollars on lunch at McDonald's" — and Gemini transcribes and logs it. Or snap a photo of your receipt and say "Add this expense": the AI's vision capabilities will read the merchant name and total and create the transaction automatically.
Can I use the AI assistant via WhatsApp or Telegram?
Yes. After connecting your messaging app during onboarding, you can text or voice-message the AI directly from WhatsApp or Telegram without opening the Ciento app. Everything syncs back to your account in real time.
Does the AI give financial advice?
Yes — honest, practical advice based on your actual data. The AI can evaluate your emergency fund status, calculate your savings rate over the last 6 months, compare spending against your budget limits, and flag trends worth paying attention to. It is not a licensed financial advisor, but it is always working from your real numbers, not generic tips.
Are AI responses always accurate?
The AI is only as accurate as the data you provide — it works entirely from your own records and does not make up figures. That said, always verify important financial decisions against your actual records. For an ambiguous request the AI may occasionally misinterpret your intent; simply rephrase and it will self-correct.
👤 Account
How do I change my email or password?
Open the Ciento app, go to your Profile section, and update your email or password from there. Changes take effect immediately.
I forgot my password. What do I do?
Tap "Forgot Password" on the login screen. A secure reset link will be sent to your registered email address. Follow the link to set a new password.
How do I invite someone to a shared wallet?
Open the wallet you want to share, go to its settings, and tap "Invite Member". Enter the person's email address and assign them a role: Owner, Admin, Member, or Viewer. They will receive an invitation and can accept it to start collaborating on that wallet.
What do the shared wallet roles mean?
Owner has full control including deleting the wallet. Admin can add, edit, and remove transactions and invite other members. Member can add and edit transactions. Viewer can only read the wallet's data. You can change roles or remove members at any time from the wallet settings.
